One-stop Consultation Services for Foreign Nationals Living in Kyoto City

Started in July 2019 with a subsidy from the Ministry of Justice.
Responding to wider requests from residents who are foreign nationals.

【Days and Hours of Service】Tuesday to Sunday 9:00-21:00

【Closed on Mondays (If a Monday is a national holiday, then the Foundation is closed on the following Tuesday),
and year-end to the New Year

Specialists’ Consultation

You can consult with specialists on issues such as legal procedures, marriage/divorce, traffic accidents, change/update of resident status, and administrative procedures.

Twice a month/ 13:30-16:00 (Approx. 30 min. per consultation. Bookings required)

【People eligible to use the Consultation Services】Foreigners who live in Japan or those who don’t speak the Japanese language. *English and Chinese interpreters are available.

Lifestyle Guidance/Travel Information

【Place】Information Service Corner on the 1st Floor
Kokoka volunteers (civil life advisors) provide a lot of useful information on daily life in Kyoto for foreign students and residents as well as tourists.

Interpretation and Counseling Services for Non-Japanese (three-way calling/on site at kokoka)

Trained interpreters assist foreigners using three-way calling and directly providing advice.
